In a Word – Championship Sunday – Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and more

In a Word is a week in sports recap column that recaps the major stories of the past week– in one word.

It was championship Sunday yesterday in the NFL but only one of the two conference championship games was exciting. The other game, played in prime time was a complete rout. Never the less I enjoyed the games played on Sunday. Before the season started I predicted that the New England Patriots would defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl XLIXWe’ll have to see if my prediction comes true.

Not only was the Seattle/Green Bay game exciting but late in the 4th quarter it seemed like a Seattle victory was not only improbable but also impossible. Thankfully for Seahawks, the Green Bay Packers decided to have an epic Wisconsin cheese meltdown.

I have to admit that the outcome of the NFC championship game put a huge smile on my face. As a Vikings fan, the team that I love to see lose the most is Green Bay. I’m sure everyone in Seattle could here Packers fans laughing all the way back in Green Bay. Packers fans were ready to gloat and talk smack but what they ended up with is one of the most epic chokes in NFL playoff history.

That’s enough of my gloating. Let’s get to the recap.

In a Word – Championship Sunday – Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and more

Seattle Seahawks – Opportunistic

Russell Wilson – Winner

Green Bay Packers Loss – Justice

Aaron Rodgers – Vacation

Tom Brady – Champion

New England Patriots – Awesome

Andrew Luck- Bad

Rex Ryan – Bill

Gary Kubiak – Bronco

John Fox – Bear

Jim Tomsula – Seriously?

New England Patriots – Deflatorgate?

Richard Sherman – MRI

That’s it for now. It’s going to be hard waiting two weeks for the Super Bowl. I hope that this year’s Super Bowl isn’t dud like last year’s. My heart is with the Patriots but my head is with the Seahawks!
