The New York Giants are working out Hakeem Nicks and Wes Welker on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson. Besides the two veteran wide-recievers, the Giants are also working out tight end Chris Cooley. The Giants work out players every Tuesday with the majority never getting signed. But Nicks and Welker make this particular workout very intriguing.
Hakeem Nicks spent the first five years of his NFL career with the New York Giants after they drafted him in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. And in his third season, he helped the Giants win Super Bowl XLVI.
During his stint with the New York Giants, Hakeem Nicks battled numerous injuries, mostly involving his legs. After a disappointing 2013 season, which saw Nicks only catch 56 passes out of a 101 targets for 896 yards and zero touchdowns, the Giants let him leave via free-agency.

Wes Welker spent the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos where he bacame a favorite of quarterback Peyton Manning. In two seasons with the Broncos, Welker had 122 catches for 1,242 yards and 12 touchdowns. Concussions however, became a serious issue for Welker, which is why teams are wary on signing the 12-year veteran.
Wes Welker began his career in 2004 with the Miami Dolphins who signed Welker as an undrafted free-agent. After spending three seasons in Miami, Welker signed with the New England Patriots in 2007.
