The LWOS Baseball Department is pleased to bring you their live game blog, in conjunction with Cover It Live. The Blog will be going live tonight at 7:30 pm as the American League Champion Kansas City Royals take on the National League Champion New York Mets in the World Series Game 4.
Game 1 was a thriller that included a little bit of everything, including a lead-off inside the park home run, a game tying home run in the bottom of the 9th, extra innings, a tv power outage/delay, Curtis Granderson turning back the clock, a Bartolo Colon appearance, great defensive plays, huge defensive miscues, strange managerial decisions, and more. In the end an Eric Hosmer sacrifice fly plated Alcides Escobar with the game winning run and the Royals take a 1-0 series lead into tonight.

The Royals would win 7-1, in a game that also featured the continued clutch hitting of Eric Hosmer and Alcides Escobar as the Royals managed to take both games at home.
