The sun shined and the rain held off around Scotland’s Carnoustie Golf Links for the first round of the 147th Open Championship. Despite the better than expected weather, players still had to battle less than ideal conditions around the course. Heading into Friday, Kevin Kisner leads the field at 5-under par but plenty of others made highlights of their own throughout Thursday’s opening round.
