Up The Gunners: Just 43 Days…

44 days.  Yes, just 44 days until the 2013/14 Premiership season kicks off, and life is back to as normal as it can be.

As the transfer window clock  ticks slowly by, the silence at the Emirates is deafening.  Am I the only one getting a touch worried? Well, I’ll be honest, I’m more than a little worried and am bordering on very concerned indeed!

Gonzalo Higuian looked in the bag, but now the trail’s colder than Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.  Marouane Fellaini looked likely, but again nothing for days.  Then the Rooney bollocks re-surfaced – I will be shocked if he signs.  It’s just not happening.

Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get a group of much needed new blood all at once?  What a coup that would be.  I really  don’t know, and anyone claiming to have any info is just throwing smoke.   Unless the tightfisted board get their finger out  there collective arse, then the Arsenal faithful who have already endured 8 years of paying for the new stadium will be up-in-arms.  So now is the time to put up or shut up.

Ivan Gazidis says we have money – then bloody spend it then Ivan. Wenger says we’re waiting for the right player time break out – what rubbish.  As the days pass by the gray clouds start appearing over North London.  Hell, even our noisy neighbours, Spurs, have spent 17million on Brazilian Paulinho, but we have brought 20 year old Yaya Sanogo.  Oh yes, another kid with potential.  We seem to like them.  Hate to remind everyone that he has spent a lot of time on the treatment table – I hope he is not the next Abou Diaby!

I love this club with all my heart, but right now I am extremely pissed off and frustrated by the way the club deals in the transfer market.  We’re like a crowd of 13-year-old boys at their first school dance and the transfer market is like the girls on the other side of the room – how scary!

I don’t want to hear anymore ITK shite or lying rumour crap.  Please, stop trying to spoon-feed me made up shite from spotty- faced 14yos(get a paper route or something).  I  just want us to sign players of the highest quality to make Arsenal FC a bloody challenger again rather than our current string of luck!

So as the sun blazes down outside, I just hope the football gods shine on us in the few weeks acquiring the right players so come 17th August we’re ready to fight for the title again…..

Until next time, Up The Gunners!
