It is almost a year ago that “Covid stopped play” in the Greene King IPA Championship
Greene King IPA Championship Clubs Committee chair Steve Lloyd said: “It is almost a year ago that “Covid stopped play” in the Greene King IPA Championship and since that time many people have been working hard to re-establish a league competition in the face of restrictions, lockdowns and no income.
“After months of meetings and clubs’ own plans to get back to the fray, we are delighted that the Championship will commence a shortened but no less competitive season on Saturday, 6th March 2021.
“A big thank you is due to everyone concerned for making the season possible and the whole league now looks forward to good rugby and rekindled bonhomie within the sport we love. Let battle commence!”
