Titi Lamo

Titi Lamositele has been selected by USA for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

SportsEvents Guide prop earned his 28th cap in his country’s final warm-up match – a win over Canada – and will now head to Japan as part of Gary Gold’s 31-man squad.

USA face England, Tonga, Argentina and France in Pool C.

Washington-born Lamositele became the youngest ever player to represent the Eagles when he made his international debut against Russia in 2013.

His first USA start came later that year after which he penned a contract at Saracens.

The 24-year-old appeared at the 2015 tournament, starting three matches and scoring against Scotland.

Head coach Gold said: “We’ve picked a pretty balanced team, we’ve gone with 18 forwards and 13 backs.

“We think that the attrition for this Rugby World Cup, especially our pool, is going to take it out of our forwards, so we’ve gone with an extra forward. We’ve got good depth in almost every position, I think we’re well covered.”
