Lucas’ father, Manny, is an MLB Legend who is significantly known for his time spent with the Boston Red Sox and played in MLB for 19 seasons. He played multiple positions, including outfielder (left and right) and designated hitter. Manny is from the Dominican Republic and is 52 years old. He loves the game and is finding it hard to step away and retire fully. He also played for the Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Guardians, LA Dodgers, and the Chicago White Sox. His time spent with the Red Sox was his most successful season, where he hit many home runs, as many as 45 in 2005. Lucas is not the only son who was drafted by a Legend. David Ortiz‘s son, D’Angelo Ortiz, was drafted by the Red Sox today.
