It is that time of the year again when MLB releases their Top 100 prospects for the upcoming season. With Spring Training just a few weeks away, why not have some fun and create an All-Prospect team for 2024? After careful consideration, these are the top infield prospects who make the All-Prospect team for 2024.
Top Infield Prospects of 2024
1B Kyle Manzardo (#59 prospect in MLB Top 100), Cleveland Guardians
Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 55 | Run: 30 | Arm: 45 | Field: 50 | Overall: 55
Kyle Manzardo established himself as one of the best pure collegiate hitters by batting .366/.437/.640 before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2021. In his first professional season, he was second among minor league players in OPS (1.043) and third in slugging percentage (.617). Largely considered a contact-over-power hitter, Manzardo has the natural ability to hit both for average and for extra bases. Manzardo is an above-average defender at the cold corner with a .989 fielding percentage over three seasons in the minor leagues. With a strong spring, Kyle could make it to the Guardians roster on Opening Day.
2B Jace Jung (#60), Detroit Tigers
Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 60 | Run: 40 | Arm: 50 | Field: 45 | Overall: 55
Jace Jung was drafted 12th overall by the Detroit Tigers out of Texas Tech in 2022. The younger brother of Rangers third baseman Josh Jung split the 2023 season between Single-A and Double-A. In his first full season in the minors, Jung slashed .265/.376/.502. His 28 home runs led the entire Detroit farm system last season. Jace has the swing and the strength to become one of the best power-hitting second basemen in the league. Jung plays a commanding second base with a near-perfect .993 fielding percentage and just three errors in 2023. His quick hands and strong arm earned him a MiLB Gold Glove in his first full year of professional baseball. Jace is expected to make his MLB debut this season.
SS Jackson Holliday (#1), Baltimore Orioles
Scouting grades: Hit: 70 | Power: 60 | Run: 60 | Arm: 55 | Field: 55 | Overall: 70
Jackson Holliday is arguably the best pure-hitting prospect in the minor leagues. The son of seven-time All-Star Matt Holliday, Jackson was drafted first overall by the Baltimore Orioles in 2022. At just 19, Holliday began his first full professional season with Single-A Delmarva and finished with Triple-A Norfolk. Holliday batted .323/.442/.499 across all four levels, earning him MiLB Hitting Prospect of the Year honors. Like his father, Jackson is disciplined at the plate and makes hard contact with high exit velocity. Baseball’s top prospect had an elite .965 FPCT% as he worked his way up the minor leagues. Holliday has the arm, instinct, and range to be a major league shortstop for a very long time. These traits earned him a Gold Glove as a high school senior in 2022. Given his meteoric rise through the minors, Holliday could make his big league debut this year.

3B Brady House (#48), Washington Nationals
Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 60 | Run: 50 | Arm: 60 | Field: 50 | Overall: 55
Brady House was drafted to be the third baseman of the future for the Washington Nationals. Drafted out of high school, House was named the best power-hitting prospect from the 2021 class after hitting .549 with eight home runs during his senior year. His breakout season came in 2023 after a back injury cut his season short the year before. House worked his way up three levels of the minor leagues hitting .312/.365/.497 and re-established himself as a top prospect. Originally drafted as a shortstop, Brady moved over to the hot corner last season. His .946 FPCT% last season proved that he has both the range and the arm to be a full-time third baseman. House is currently on track to debut in 2025, but Nats fans could see him in Washington as early as September.
