Kanter suffered the injury during tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. He was showing frustration while walking to bench and punched a chair. While it was already felt that he might’ve fractured his wrist, it is now a fractured forearm.

Report: Enes Kanter Suffers Fractured Forearm
This is something to be concerned about for the Thunder. He is currently averaging 14.6 PPG and 6.8 RPG. He has been consistent all season and is considered one of the favorites for the Sixth Man of the Year award. Kanter comes off the bench and instantly gives the Thunder a spark of energy and a scoring boost. For a team that already struggles to score at times, the injury to Kanter is really going to be felt. While his defense is very lackluster, he can somewhat make up for it with his offensive ability.
As of right now, it is unsure what the timetable is for Kanter’s return. Expect to see a boost in playing time for Joffrey Lauvergne during Kanter’s absence. He isn’t the scorer that Kanter is, but he will need to do everything he can in order to somewhat make up for the absence on the offensive end.
The Thunder are currently sitting at 28-19 and are 6th in the Western Conference. Hopefully, Kanter will not have to be sidelined too long. The Thunder desperately need his scoring as they are looking to keep pace in the tight Western Conference.
