Coast 2 Coast Podcast Episode #23: NCAA Tournament Second Weekend Recap

Austin is without Dante but is joined by Thomas Tittley again to break down the NCAA Tournament second weekend and preview a close-to-the heart Final Four.

16 teams entered this weekend; just four remain. It was an exciting weekend in which the NCAA Tournament field was riddled down to just four teams following a multitude of events. Buzzer beaters were hit in the world’s most famous arena. Reserve big men starred in unlikely scenarios. A pair of Carolina schools survived, one more surprising than the other. Some stars shined brighter than others. (Sorry, Lonzo Ball and Lavar.)

On this week’s show, Austin (but sadly, not Dante) is joined by Thomas Tittley again to break down the weekend that was. They run through each region that led to this Final Four. They ponder Lauri Markannen and De’Aaron Fox‘s NBA stock. Finally, the pair preview the Fnal Four, which includes a match-up between each of their most beloved schools. Can the ‘Zags contain Sindarius Thornwell? Will the Ducks or the Tar Heels head to the national championship game? Listen to find out which team each of them picks!

Dante studies Financial Economics at Columbia University. For every statistic and analytic undertaking, he hopes to shed humorous light on the everyday parity of the sports world. A life-long sports fan, he’s been blessed with championships from the New York Yankees and New York Giants, but cursed by the turbulent history of the Brooklyn (New Jersey) Nets.

Thomas currently attends the University of Ottawa.
