Five Possible Bradley Beal Trades

Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal could be on the trade market. The Wizards are prepared to offer Beal a three-year, $111 million contract extension as soon as he is eligible. While this is a great contract, there is growing belief that Beal will not take the contract and instead pursue a trade to another team.

Five Trade Scenarios for Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal to the Orlando Magic

  • Washington Wizards Receive: Mohamed Bamba, Markelle Fultz, Jonathan Isaac, cap fillers, multiple picks
  • Orlando Magic Recieve: Bradley Beal

If the Wizards want to go full rebuild, this is the move for them. They would get two good young players in Mohamed Bamba and Jonathan Isaac, while also taking a chance in the return of Markelle Fultz. Including possibly two more first-round draft picks, the Wizards will have a set future in young cornerstones. On the Orlando Magic side, they add an All-Star 26-year-old in Beal. The Magic were a fringe playoff seed last year, and this trade gives them the chance to add talent and create a solid duo of Beal and Aaron Gordon.

Toronto Raptors

  • Washington Wizards receive: OG Anunoby, Norman Powell, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam
  • Toronto Raptors receive: Bradley Beal

A trade package involving OG Anunoby, Norman Powell, Fred VanVleet, and Pascal Siakam is nothing to laugh at. The Wizards would take a load of talent back into their team, headlined by Siakam. The Most Improved Player Award winner would have a new home in Washington where he would be the first option. The Toronto Raptors would be going full circle and getting back an elite backcourt. Kyle Lowry would be running point guard with Beal next to him at the shooting guard position. This trade would make the Raptors a top-five team in the East.

Detroit Pistons

  • Washington Wizards receive Luke Kennard, Tony Snell, Thon Maker, Sekou Doumbouya, multiple first-round draft picks.
  • Detroit Pistons receive: Bradley Beal

The Wizards would get Luke Kennard and Tony Snell, as well as two players with high potential in Thon Maker and Sekou Doumbouya. There would also be multiple first-round picks involved for them. It has been apparent that the Detroit Pistons are looking for a third star to play along with Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond. Acquiring Beal would give them that third star to make a “big three”. With those three starting and Derrick Rose also running the point guard position off the bench, the Pistons could be a scary team after a trade for Beal.

Boston Celtics

  • Washington Wizards Receive: Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Romeo Langford, first-round draft pick
  • Boston Celtics Receive: Bradley Beal

It has come time for Danny Ainge to unload his chest of assets. The Boston Celtics have been in every trade rumor in recent memory, but this is the one they need to pull the trigger on. Jaylen Brown is in his contract year, and would likely get a lot of money elsewhere. Instead of overpaying a player to average 13 points per game, they should ship him, Romeo Langford, and Marcus Smart to the Wizards. Ths Wizards will receive the heart and soul of the team in Smart, but the Celtics will receive a third star in Beal to play alongside Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum. While it would be tough for Celtics fans to say goodbye go the beloved Smart, the young 26-year-old Beal would be a great acquisition.

Miami Heat

  • Washington Wizards receive: Goran Dragic, Derrick Jones Jr., Bam Adebayo, Justise Winslow, and a first-round pick
  • Miami Heat receive: Bradley Beal and Troy Brown

The Wizards would hit the jackpot again, receiving an established point guard in Goran Dragic to replace John Wall. They also receive studs Derrick Jones Jr., Justise Winslow, and Bam Adebayo, who are all poised for breakout years. On the Miami Heat side of things, they would then form a duo of Beal and Jimmy Butler. In an era where duos run the league, this is arguably a top-five pairing in the NBA. The move would put Miami in the conversation as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
