The soon-to-be 25-year-old initially joined the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022. For the past two seasons, Rhoden has played for the Detroit Pistons. In that time, he has appeared in 31 total games. With the Pistons, Rhoden has averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Furthermore, he is a career 45.5% shooter from the floor, including 33.3% from beyond the arc.
After signing the Seton Hall alum, the Raptors now have 21 players on their team, which is the training camp limit. Of those contracts, 14 are fully guaranteed.

What Jared Rhoden Can Bring to the Raptors
Since he signed an Exhibit 10 contract, it is unlikely Rhoden will make the roster next season. However, a spot in the G League is an option for both sides. On the court, Rhoden has a lot of tools and could be a solid addition to Toronto. At 6’6″, Rhoden possesses good size and is versatile on both sides of the floor. Additionally, he is a solid scorer with an improved jumpshot and has proven he can be a solid 3-and-D player. Furthermore, he uses his athleticism to his advantage and brings high energy to his game.
Ultimately, Rhoden likely will not appear in many games for the Raptors, if any at all. However, bringing him in on an Exhibit 10 contract is very low-risk, high-reward.
The Raptors’ Offseason So Far Following the Jared Rhoden Signing
Toronto has had a busy offseason this summer. Most notably, they signed budding star Scottie Barnes to a long-term contract extension. This extension is the most expensive in team history. Furthermore, the Raptors re-signed Immanuel Quickley and Garrett Temple. In the draft, the Raptors landed guard Ja’Kobe Walter with the No. 19 pick. Furthermore, the team selected Jonathan Mogbo, Ulrich Chomche, and Jamal Shead in the second round of the draft. As for other external transactions, the Raptors signed Bruno Fernando and traded for Davion Mitchell from the Sacramento Kings.
On the flip side, the Raptors lost a lot of players as well. Jordan Nwora, who they acquired from the Indiana Pacers in a package for Pascal Siakam, signed with a Turkish team this summer. Additionally, they traded Jalen McDaniels to the Kings for Mitchell. However, their biggest loss was wing Gary Trent Jr. joining the Milwaukee Bucks. While his departure is no surprise, it is still a big blow to the Raptors team.
The Last Word on the Toronto Raptors
The Raptors ended last season with a 25-57 record and earned the No. 12 seed in the Eastern Conference. This was their second consecutive season missing the playoffs and their third time since winning a championship in 2019. It seems that the Raptors are in rebuilding mode and likely will not make much noise for a while. However, there is a lot to look forward to in Toronto nonetheless.
