Saracens v exeter chiefs gallagher premiership rugby final

Saracens Women recorded history last weekend by coming back from 24-0 down to win 33-27 against London rivals Harlequins Women at The Stoop.

The superb fightback was the biggest comeback the Tyrrells Premier 15s has ever seen!

Inspired by Alex Austerberry’s side’s achievement, sportseventsguide.com takes a look at three thrilling Saracens Men turnarounds from last season.

Harlequins 20-25 Saracens Men
Round 6 2018/19 Gallagher Premiership
Billy Vunipola's try helped unbeaten Premiership champions Saracens come from behind to win 25-20 at Harlequins in a fiery London derby. The sides traded penalties before Danny Care intercepted Ben Spencer's pass to race clear and score Quins' first try. Joe Marchant then leapt spectacularly to catch and dot down a miscued Marcus Smith penalty to put Quins 20-12 up. But the boot of Owen Farrell and Vunipola's try in the corner was enough to maintain Sarries' flawless record.

Leinster 10-20 Saracens Men
2019 Heineken Champions Cup Final
Saracens came from behind to win their third European title in four years with a 20-10 victory over Leinster in the Champions Cup final at St James' Park. The Irish side held a 10-point lead until the 39th minute but Sarries drew level when Sean Maitland's try cancelled out Tadhg Furlong's opener. Both defences stood firm after the interval but Owen Farrell kicked Saracens in front just before the hour. Victory was sealed when Billy Vunipola crashed over from the back of a scrum. Farrell kicked the conversion as the Londoners scored 20 unanswered points and put in a dominant second-half performance

Exeter Chiefs 34-37 Saracens Men
2019 Gallagher Premiership Final
Saracens overturned an 11-point deficit to beat Exeter in a superb Premiership final at Twickenham. Nic White put Exeter ahead after just 27 seconds, but Jamie George and Ben Spencer crossed for Sarries before Dave Ewers restored Exeter's lead. Jonny Hill's try stretched Chiefs' lead to 22-16 at the break. Henry Slade put Exeter 27-16 up, but tries by Liam Williams, Sean Maitland and George saw Sarries retain their title and win a fourth in five years. Sam Hill's last-second try was a mere consolation for Exeter.
