It’s a typical quiet Wednesday in the NHL, with just six teams in action. Luckily, there are still plenty of player props to test your savvy. Here are four picks for consideration on Dec. 14.

Kirill Kaprizov – Anytime Goal Scorer
Kaprizov has been an offensive dynamo for the Wild. The third-year pro is following up his breakout 108-point season with zeal, registering 35 points in his first 28 this year.
The 25-year-old Russian is right in the thick of the Rocket Richard race but has been stuck on 17 goals for three games now.
Karpizov has gone four games without scoring just one other time this season, making a breakout seem inevitable. We like his chances to do it tonight against the slumping Red Wings.
Brady Tkachuk – Under 1.5 Points
Brady Tkachuk has had a heck of a year, racking up 31 points in 28 games. Unfortunately, we have to fade him here. The 6’4 winger exploded out of the gate, but his production has been tempered in recent weeks.
Tkachuk has just two points in his last four games (no goals) and only has two multi-point games in his previous 14.
Until we see the fifth-year pro start to score in bunches again, we have no choice but to take the under 1.5 that hockey betting sites are giving us.
Dominik Kubalik – Over 0.5 Points
The Red Wings are reeling and need their top players to step up. After a nice November run, the Wings have lost three in a row and six of their last eight.
Dominik Kubalik and Dylan Larkin are the team’s top two scorers but have combined for just three points over the previous five games. Kubalik hasn’t registered a point in three straight and will look to get off the schneid against Minnesota.
Detroit was shut out last night at home in a lackluster effort vs. the Hurricanes. Look for them to bounce back and score a few goals tonight.
Jonathan Huberdeau – Over 0.5 Assists
Don’t look now, but the $84-million-dollar man is finally starting to produce. After signing a mammoth contract with Calgary in the offseason, Huberdeau sputtered out of the gate, to put it lightly.
The Flames winger had just five points in his first ten games after finishing with 115 last season. He’s been picking it up lately, recording five points in his last five contests, including a goal on Monday in Montreal.
The Flames play a loose Canucks squad tonight (3.86 GAA, 30th), and Hubey should be a factor in this one. He had 85 assists last year. We just need one tonight.
