Scouting Report

Van Jefferson is a 6’2” 195 pound wide receiver. Jefferson has big time speed and is a smooth athlete. He accelerates effortlessly and has a good change of direction. Jefferson is explosive out of his breaks and able to create separation. He is great after the catch and has the speed to turn short throws into big chunk plays and has the ability to get deep. His biggest issue is that he lets the ball go to his body too often instead of using his hands. He is a perfect fit for the spread offense as Mullen can play Jefferson on the outside and at the slot.
