Under Armour All-American CB Jason Marshall signs with Florida

Dan Mullen and the Gators coaching staff have signed one of the top defensive commits in their recruiting class. Under Armour All-American cornerback and Florida commit Jason Marshall has signed his NLI to play for the University of Florida.

This is a great signing for Florida as Marshall is a five-star recruit and one of the top recruits in the country. Ultimately, Mullen loves Marshall’s skillset and projects him to make a huge impact on the Gator defense in the future. Additionally, Marshall is one of two cornerbacks projected to sign with Florida on early signing day.

Who is Jason Marshall?

Jason Marshall is a five-star cornerback out of Miami Palmetto High School in Miami, Florida. He was a huge coup for the Gators as he held offers from almost every top football program.

It is important to realize during his recruitment, Marshall received 28 offers from the top college teams. For example, Marshall had offers from schools like Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, and USC.

In fact, on 247 Sports, Marshall is the 25th ranked recruit and the third-ranked cornerback in the country. Meanwhile, on ESPN, Marshall is the 42nd ranked recruit and the #1 ranked cornerback in the country.

Notably, the Gators have added an elite cornerback who could make a significant impact in the future.  Marshall was a cornerback that every school in the country wanted. As he is a 6’2” 190-pound cornerback with great size and coverage skills.  While, being an early enrollee, Marshall will get to Florida in January. He will get the chance to learn the playbook and to compete for playing time in the spring.
