It’s the final week of the regular season before Championship Saturday commences. Top Five Candidates
1. C.J. Stroud
QB | Ohio State Next Game: 11/26 vs Michigan
Even though Stroud had a very average game for his standards, it was just enough for him to reclaim the top spot in this week’s poll. The Buckeyes did just enough to stay undefeated with Stroud’s 241-yard and one-touchdown performance. It’s all come down to this week’s matchup against Michigan in what will be undoubtedly Stroud’s toughest defensive matchup of the year.

2. Caleb Williams
QB | USC Next Game: 11/26 vs Notre Dame
Williams had a monstrous game against UCLA and has firmly announced himself back in this race. With just a few points behind Stroud now, Williams’ 500-yard total offense performance allows this to be anyone’s race. With games against Notre Dame on Saturday and a likely matchup with Oregon in the PAC 12 Championship Game, Williams may have the best opportunity left among the candidates.

3. Blake Corum
RB | Michigan Next Game: 11/26 at Ohio State
Corum still managed to run for 100 yards even with the injury he sustained against Illinois on Saturday. He comes into this game tied with Duggan but could have the opportunity to create some distance if the Wolverines can upset Ohio State. However, how healthy Corum is will be the big question mark. If he’s anywhere near 100%, he has every opportunity to be a huge factor in “The Game.”

4. Max Duggan
QB | TCU Next Game: 11/26 vs Iowa State
Duggan had to dig deep with many of his skill position players out against Baylor and willed the Horned Frogs to a victory and to an 11-0 record. He still threw for over 300 yards with a couple of touchdowns to help secure the late-game win. TCU returns home to face an Iowa State team that is one of the best defensive teams in the league. Duggan will have two opportunities to impress the voters.

5. Hendon Hooker
QB | Tennessee Next Game: 11/26 at Vanderbilt
