Top-Ranked LS Rocco Underwood Signs With Florida

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators have officially signed the top-ranked long snapper in the country in Florida prospect, Rocco Underwood.

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top specialists in the country. Six-star long snapper and Florida commit Rocco Underwood has signed his NLI to the University of Florida.

This is a good signing for Florida as Underwood is the top-ranked recruit in his position. Florida head coach Mullen likes Underwood’s skillset and projects to make a nice impact for the Gators in the future.

Underwood is likely the only specialist that’s signing with the Florida Gators on Wednesday.

Who is Rocco Underwood?

According to 247 Sports, Rocco Underwood is a three-star long snapper out of Lake Mary High School in Lake Mary, Florida. Further, the Florida commit is the top-ranked long snapper in the country. Underwood was a tough get for the Gators as he had other SEC offers.

During his recruitment, Underwood received six offers from some of the top college football programs in the country. Underwood had offers from schools like Alabama, Arkansas, FAU, Florida, Liberty, and Marshall.

On the Rubio Long Snapping rankings, Underwood is the top-ranked long snapper in the country. On ESPN, Underwood is the third-ranked long snapper and the 286th ranked recruit in the state of Florida.

The Gators have added the top-ranked long snapper in the country. Underwood is also related to former Florida punters Johnny Townsend and Tommy Townsend. Further, on Kohl’s Kicking Camps, Underwood is the 17th ranked long snapper in the country. In addition, he is the second-ranked long snapper in the state of Florida.
