Latest on Danny Rose, Karius, Bolasie, Besic and Lookman
Danny Rose to Leave Spurs?
Recent reports are suggesting that Tottenham are willing to take a reduced fee for full-back Danny Rose. Spurs were understood to have valued the England international at £50 million. However, they are now willing to take less than that so a deal can be done this month.
PSG are the latest club to take an interest in Rose. Although there are those in Paris who believe he would be a good signing, manager Thomas Tuchel is yet to be convinced. Rose has yet to feature this season with Ben Davis being the preferred left-back. With Spurs now reportedly willing to accept a reduced fee, this could alert other clubs who are still able to sign players this summer.
Karius to Turkey?
Liverpool and their goalkeeper Loris Karius are believed to be in advanced talks with Besiktas over a loan deal. The deal, should it be completed will be a two-year loan. Besiktas will pay £2.25 million with a further £7.25 million should the deal become permanent. A sell-on clause could also be included.
Since the Champions League Final, Karius has not played a competitive game for Liverpool. The Reds signed keeper Allison in the summer which left Karius battling it out with Simon Mignolet for the back-up keeper position. Jurgen Klopp had also been willing to let Mignolet leave, but with no club meeting his asking price, Karius has been allowed to move on.
Everton Pair to Boro?
Everton duo Yannick Bolasie and Mo Besic are in talks with Middlesbrough over a proposed loan move. Besic, who almost agreed a permanent deal on transfer deadline day with Boro, has agreed terms and is expected to complete a loan deal soon.
The Teesside outfit also want winger Bolasie on a season-long loan. The former Crystal Palace player has struggled with injuries since moving to Goodison Park in 2016. He has been advised by manager Marco Silva that he is surplus to requirements and can leave. It is understood that Everton will want an option to buy clause in any deal for 29-year-old Bolasie.
RB Leipzig Back in For Lookman
German side RB Leipzig appear determined as ever to land Everton’s Ademola Lookman. After impressing on loan last season Leipzig wanted to make the move permanent. However, bids during the summer were rejected. Manager Ralf Rangnick has indicted he wants Lookman back and that the player also wants to return. The new bid is believed to be in the region of £22 million.
