Timothy Weah is a growing name in world football. He is catching the eye of clubs all around the world as he looks to temporarily leave Paris Saint-Germain. Many Premier League clubs were rumoured to be interested in him, though Lazio now seems interested in securing his services. The youngster isn’t getting too much playing time in Paris, causing him to look for a move elsewhere.
Timothy Weah Close to Lazio Loan In January
Weah has only played 54 minutes in Ligue 1 this season. When playing with a team full of stars like PSG, it is difficult to find any playing time. Son of Ballon d’Or winner George Weah the United States international is likely to leave in January. Lazio are reportedly in the race to recruit the striker on loan.
His move would benefit both PSG and Lazio. The loan deal wouldn’t negatively impact the Parisiens as Weah isn’t a starter, though it would help them get a player off their hands for some time. The club will save money and will let Lazio develop the player for them. The 18-year-old is expected to shine in the coming years and the Serie A will help him develop and get used to playing in a different league.
Italian side Lazio will also benefit from the deal. Although the Rome side has many great strikers, one of them Ciro Immobile, they are keen on adding to the roster. Timothy Weah has been identified as a great reinforcement, the club could even consider buying the player if he proves himself.
Until now, there is no confirmation on the deal, but both sides are willing to co-operate and reach an agreement. This move can prove vital for the player as he looks to improve and to become a successful football player, just like his father.
