Romelu Lukaku Signs For Inter Milan
Romelu Lukaku – Career So Far
Lukaku began his career with Belgian club Anderlecht before sealing a reported £12 million move to Chelsea in 2011.
However, he only made ten appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge. Instead, he had two season-long deals – first with West Bromwich Albion and then with Everton.
Both were extremely successful and after scoring 15 goals in his loan with Everton, the Toffees made his loan permanent for £28 million in 2014.
The pressure was on the then 21-year-old to continue to deliver. However, he dealt with it magnificently, scoring a total of 61 totals in the three years that followed.
Following his impressive form at Everton, he sealed a £75 million transfer to Manchester United.
Many considered his time at Old Trafford to be underwhelming due to going long periods without a goal across the two seasons. However, he scored 35 goals during his time with Manchester United.
Lukaku is also a seasoned international with Belgium. Having made his debut in 2010, he has gone onto make 81 appearances for the Red Devils. Furthermore, he is Belgium’s all-time leading scorer with 48 goals.

How Will He Fare at His New Club?
Lukaku has previously expressed his desire to play in Serie A. He said in an interview: “I am a big fan of Serie A, anyone who knows me knows I have always wanted to play in the English league and in the Italian one.”
The 26-year-old will face stern competition for his place in the first team at Inter Milan. Inter currently have Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez as their current choice of strikers. However, Icardi has been linked in a possible swap deal for Juventus‘ Paulo Dybala.
