Grimsby Town v Crewe Alexandra
Grimsby Town host Crewe Alexandra in a battle of third against fourth. However, neither of these sides are predicted to finish where they are come the end of the season.
Both sides are in a decent run of form. Grimsby are unbeaten in their last three games, with two wins and one draw. The Mariners won 3-1 away at Walsall in matchweek six, thanks to two goals from James Hanson. The 31-year-old is now the joint top scorer in League Two.
In comparison, Crewe have quietly gone about their business. They have won four of their last five games, only losing to second place Newport County.
It is Crewe who slightly edge the head-to-head record across the last five meetings. However, both of Grimsby’s wins in the last five meetings have come at home.
Plymouth Argyle v Oldham Athletic
Ryan Lowe’s Plymouth Argyle take on Oldham Athletic in matchweek seven, looking to nudge their way into the automatic promotion spots by taking three points.
The Pilgrims have had an inconsistent start to life back in League Two. They have won three of their opening six games, while also suffering two defeats and one draw. Last time out saw them suffer their defeat of the season, a 3-1 loss away to Northampton Town.
Meanwhile, Oldham Athletic are still plagued with issues. Life under new manager Laurent Banide – their eighth manager in the last two years – has not started well. They have won just one of their opening six league fixtures, a 2-1 win away to Cambridge United.
As a result, Plymouth Argyle will be fancying their chances against a weak Oldham side.

Bradford City v Northampton Town
Bradford City were tipped as favourites to go straight back up to League One this season. However, they have struggled with inconsistency so far this season, and will be hoping to but that right at home to Northampton.

Cambridge United v Forest Green Rovers
After a blistering start to the season, Cambridge United have suffered a setback in recent fixtures, losing their last three in all competitions. They will have to work hard for three points up against a strong Forest Green Rovers side.

Carlisle United v Exeter City
The League Two leaders face a 347 mile trip north to face Carlisle United. The home side will have their work cut out, against a side looking to return to League One via the automatic promotion spots.

Cheltenham v Stevenage
Stevenage are yet to win this season in League Two and will be looking to taste victory away at Cheltenham. However, the Robins are yet to suffer a defeat at home this season.

Colchester United v Walsall
Colchester United are now on a run of four straight victories in all competitions. They will be hoping to finish in the play-off positions come the end of the season, and as a result will be hoping for three more points here.

Grimsby will be hoping to leapfrog Crewe into the automatic promotion places and make it three straight victories in League Two. However, a score draw is most likely at Blundell Park.

The O’s are sitting comfortably in mid-table, while Swindon Town are flying in the play-off positions. Swindon’s form could pay off in this fixture, as they have lost just one of their last five.

Macclesfield Town v Crawley Town
Both of these sides sit on ten points as they head into the clash at Moss Rose. The home side have lost just one of their four fixtures under new manager Daryl McMahon, a run that they will be looking to maintain.

Mansfield Town v Scunthorpe United
Neither of these sides were expected to start the season in such poor form. Scunthorpe United prop up the division, and will be hoping for their first win of the season away to Mansfield.

The division’s smallest budget plays host to big spender Salford City. Many have been surprised at the visitors poor start to the season. However, they should prove to strong here.

Newport County v Port Vale
Newport County are one of just two unbeaten sides remaining in the division. They will be hoping to keep the pace with Exeter with another victory at Rodney Parade.
