Marcus Maddison is on the radar of former Premier League club Huddersfield Town. With the January transfer window opening a few days ago, the Terriers should go for the attacking midfielder.
Why Huddersfield Town Should Sign Marcus Maddison
Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAntony tweeted that Maddison would be a great signing for the Terriers; however, he is determined to keep ahold of the playmaker.
What a signing he'd be for Huddersfield.. But we want him to stay pal. Im meeting him next week for a chat about his future 😃 https://t.co/n6U0Vb5eiT

Goal scoring and set pieces have been issues for the Yorkshire club in the last couple of seasons. With the Cowley brothers came on board as the manager and assistant manager, the club has turned a corner.
Goals are still an issue. However, Marcus Maddison has scored nine goals in his 16 appearances this season for Peterborough United. The League One club will find the Cowleys approach unavoidable. Maddison has helped Posh sit fourth in the table. The Englishman will give the Terriers more options in the midfield and the 26-year-old can also play as a winger.
Huddersfield Leading the Way
Such a versatile player is going to attract attention. With the Cowleys having encountered Peterborough previously whilst managing Lincoln City, Maddison will have been watched earnestly, and with the Cowleys now having the chance to bring in their own players to the squad the time is right.
The changes brought in by Danny and Nicky Cowley at Huddersfield Town are starting to show. Chairman Phil Hodkinson will only bring in players that will strengthen the squad.
The Terriers will be looking to strengthen in midfield, and also in defence. With Aaron Mooy on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion, Maddison gives the Terriers something extra. Suffering from injuries to the defence back up’s are most certainly needed.
The January window will be the first where the Cowleys can bring in their own players. Adapting their style of play as their time as managers goes on, having players that fit their style is imperative. Maddison is a must signing for the Terriers in January.
