Sammie Szmodics will leave Bristol City to join Peterborough United on a permanent deal, according to Gregor MacGregor of the Bristol Post.
The attacking midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Several Clubs in the Race
According to the Bristol Post, several other League One clubs were vying for his signature.
The Posh have beaten off competition from Sunderland, Portsmouth and four other League One clubs to sign the attacking midfielder.
It is thought that Peterborough had already had one bid rejected for the 24-year-old. However, they returned with a more lucrative offer, which is believed to be over £1 million.
As a result, only minor details are left to be ironed out, and he has made the journey to Cambridgeshire to complete the move.
Unwanted at Bristol City
The 24-year-old is out of favour at Ashton Gate after just one season.
Speaking about Szmodics to BBC Radio Bristol, Head Coach Dean Holden praised his attitude and work ethic.
“He’s a real good talent and – honest to god – he’s a diamond of a lad, he’s a cracker, whether he’s in the team or not, and he works his socks off. In the next couple of days we might get some news on that,” he said.
Szmodics made just four appearances during his time with the Robins. After arrivals in his position this summer, he has now been allowed to leave.
Excellent Spell With Peterborough
Szmodics enjoyed an excellent loan spell with Peterborough during the second half of last season before the season was curtailed.
The 24-year-old made 10 appearances for Darren Ferguson’s side, scoring four goals and three assists. The three assists came in a single game, as he registered a man of the match performance in a 4-0 win over Oxford United.
Szmodics formed an excellent partnership with Ivan Toney and Siriki Dembele in attack. The exciting trio linked up well in attack, terrorising opposition League One defenders.
As a result, while Peterborough are shelling out over £1 million, it could make the difference between them being promoted from League One.
