Barnsley forward Cauley Woodrow has signed a new contract to remain at the club until 2023.
The 25-year old has scored 36 goals in 82 appearances in all competitions for the Championship side since arriving at Oakwell in 2018.

Speaking to the club website, Woodrow said: “I know there’s been a lot of speculation recently about my future, but as soon as I heard that Barnsley were offering me a new contract it was something I was keen on doing.
“Last season we managed to stay in the Championship, which was a massive achievement for us, but now we all want to kick on and do well this season. I’m happy to secure my future here and I look forward to the years ahead.”
Meanwhile, chief executive officer Dane Murphy expressed his delight at holding onto Woodrow.
“A number of clubs have shown significant interest in Cauley over this transfer window and, having fended off the attention, we’re delighted that he’s signed a new contract,” he said.
“I went on record earlier this summer stating that the Club wanted to retain the core of this squad for the current season. The Club has done its best to achieve that and now I look forward to seeing Cauley getting back to doing what he does best, scoring goals.”
Playing Well at Oakwell
After starting his career at Southend United as an 18-year old, Woodrow joined Fulham in 2013 and made six appearances as the club were relegated from the Premier League.
The former England U21 international made 54 league appearances for Fulham between 2013 and 2018, whilst also spending time on loan at Burton Albion and Bristol City.
Ahead of the 2018/19 season, Woodrow arrived at Barnsley on loan and scored 16 goals in 31 appearances as the Tykes secured promotion to the Championship.
After making his move to Oakwell permanent last summer, Woodrow’s 14 goals were instrumental in his club’s fight to avoid relegation.
