Norwich City have confirmed that young Irish striker Adam Idah has signed a new four-year deal at Carrow Road.
Adam Idah Signs New Four-Year Deal With Norwich City
Still Developing
The 19-year-old is highly-rated at Carrow Road and is still developing during the early stages of his career.
A five-time Irish international, Idah has already made quite the impression on both stages. He registered a hat-trick in just his third appearance at senior level, a 4-2 win over Preston North End.
Idah was a regular from the substitutes bench during the second half of last season. All but one of his 12 appearances in the league came as a substitute.
That feat has continued into this season, despite Norwich returning to the Championship. Just one of his seven appearances this season has come as a starter, a game which yielded yet another win for the Canaries.
What Was Said?
Speaking about his new deal to the official Norwich City website, Idah said: “I’m over the moon.
“When I found out the news, I knew straight away that I wanted to extend my contract with the club because since I’ve come here, I’ve loved every moment of it.
“I love the club and it’s like a second family to me. Everyone’s been backing me since the minute I came here and it reminds me a lot of home. Norwich is so similar to Cork because everyone here is so friendly, not just at the club but out in public.
“I’ve developed a lot as a player and come up through every age group since I was 16. I still just want to get better and keep developing and I think this is the best place for me to do that.”
Idah will now be hoping that he can help the Canaries secure an instant return to the Premier League. They look well set to do that, as they currently sit top of the Championship table.
