Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of centre-back Richard Keogh on a deal until the end of the season for an undisclosed fee. The 34-year-old joins from League One side Milton Keynes Dons, where he had been since the start of the season.
In total, the Republic of Ireland international made 20 appearances for the Dons, who were his first club following his serious injury and subsequent sacking from previous club Derby County.

What Was Said?
Speaking to the club website, Terriers head coach Carlos Corberan said: “Richard is a player with an amazing background and a lot of experience in the Championship. He has regularly played over 4,000 minutes per season at his previous clubs, and you need the combination of his experience alongside our young players to create a competitive team.
“The competitive character he has, and the respect he has for his job, and very important values within our group.
“He is a good defender and he can also help us to play out from the back. His ability to play on the left and right of central defence is something we need in the team too.”
Dons Open About the Move
Keogh was a surprise omission from the MK Dons side that was easily beaten 3-0 by Peterborough United at the weekend. However, his absence was explained following the match when Russell Martin confirmed in his post-match press conference that the defender was in talks with a Championship club over a move.
Russell Martin has confirmed that Richard Keogh is in talks with a Championship club regarding a move away from #MKDons, which was the reason for his absence today.

Initially, there was speculation that he could return to former club Derby, but it quickly became apparent that Huddersfield were the interested party.
Keogh has previously played for the Terriers, featuring ten times during a loan spell in the 2007/08 season.
