Club Brugge Confirm Tahith Chong Loan
Chong Swaps Germany for Belgium
Having terminated his loan with Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen, Tahith Chong has joined Club Brugge on loan until the end of the season.
Chong made 15 appearances whilst at Bremen, contributing one goal and two assists for the side sitting 11th in the Bundesliga.
In a Twitter post, Chong thanked Werder Bremen, stating he had “learnt a lot” during his time in Germany.
It’s been a pleasure to represent this club for the last few months. Even though it wasn’t long, I learnt a lot and I leave the club with some great memories and friendships. Good luck for the rest of the season 🙏🏾🟢⚪️ pic.twitter.com/pmGHgO3o1e

Chong Joins League Leaders Brugge
Chong will join the current Belgian Pro League leaders, Club Brugge, who sit 11 points clear at the top of the table.
The Netherlands U21 international will hope to guide Brugge to a 17th title.
After finishing third in their group, Brugge will face fellow Champions League drop-outs Dynamo Kyiv in the last-32 of the Europa League.
Chong made six appearances for Manchester United in the Europa League during the 2019/20 campaign, helping take the side to a semi-final.
United defeated Brugge in that same Europa League run, with Chong coming on as a substitute in the second-leg.
Chong Has Time On His Side
Being 21, Chong has plenty of time to establish himself at Old Trafford and will hope his latest loan move will provide the platform to break into the United side.
Chong has been a part of the Manchester United set up since 2016, after leaving Feyenoord and the Netherlands aged 16.
He has won various awards at youth level and made his first-team debut in January 2019 during an FA Cup third-round tie against Reading.
