Immediately after Saturday’s 2-1 win at Manchester City, Leeds United injury concerns seemingly took some glory away from the otherwise joyous occasion.
The club’s record signing, Rodrigo, missed the trip to the Etihad altogether, whilst a late tackle on Raphinha in the 89th minute left fans concerned.
The only other injured player in Leeds’ squad at present, is Adam Forshaw. The long-term absentee is making good progress though and could feature before the end of the season.
Leeds United Injury Update: Rodrigo, Raphinha and Adam Forshaw
Rodrigo and Raphinha Headline Leeds United Injury Concerns
The £30 million summer signing has struggled to make much of an impact in a Leeds United shirt thus far, albeit his season has been disrupted by injuries.
When asked about Rodrigo, Marcelo Bielsa told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “He had a problem in the last training session. So he wasn’t in conditions to participate.”
Even more worrying for Leeds fans, was the injury Raphinha picked up in the concluding minutes of the victory at City. The star winger put in another scintillating performance but was forced off after being on the receiving end of a strong Fernandinho tackle.
Asked for an update on the Brazilian, Bielsa said: “I haven’t asked, but don’t have the feeling it is anything serious.”
Other Team News
