A move to Barcelona for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has broken down, according to David Ornstein.
The 32-year-old looked set for a loan switch to Spain but talks between the two clubs have hit a significant bump amid financial concerns.

According to Ornstein, the reason for the talks breaking down between the two clubs is down to a disagreement over the planned salary.
It has been widely reported that the 32-year-old is on a significant weekly wage and it is something that the financially-hit Catalan club were unable to meet.
If Barcelona are willing to budge on their offering then the move could still go ahead, but that seems unlikely given their current position.
Barcelona are still keen on bringing Aubameyang to the Nou Camp but the report suggests that the Gunners are unwilling to compromise on the proposed salary demands.
Interest Elsewhere
Although Arsenal are desperate to offload the Gambia international, they aren’t short of suitors. Already during the January transfer window, Juventus and Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have shown interest in a loan move for the 32-year-old.
But it was the opportunity to work under Barcelona legend Xavi that persuaded Aubameyang to focus on a move to La Liga. With that now in doubt, and with time running out, it will be interesting to see if one of those two clubs, or even a third party, make a new deal for the striker.
What Next for the Striker?
Having been stripped of the captaincy and dropped due to disciplinary issues (again), Aubameyang’s Arsenal future looked in doubt.
The striker hasn’t played for the Gunners since December. However, if Arteta is unable to offload him, he could yet feature again for the club. But in order for that to happen, both the former skipper and the current boss will need to work on their relationship before he returns to the Emirates pitch.
