Paris Saint-Germain Midfielder to Leave the Club in the Summer
Michut Unhappy With Lack of Game Time
Edouard Michut, born in 2003, is one of the most promising French talents. He prefers the role of an attacking midfielder, but could also play in a deeper position The young star already represented his country at U16, U17, and U19 levels. His contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2025.
There was a possibility for the player to be sent out on loan during the winter, but a transfer never happened. Despite being considered one of the best French talents, he’s unable to get a lot of playing time at the Parc des Princes. During the current campaign, the midfielder featured in only four games as a substitution, playing for a total of 44 minutes. He wasn’t even included in the squad for the last home game of the season. That was not seen as a good sign as the club already had secured the Ligue 1 title.
Edouard Michut is Only Interested in a Permanent Deal
The young midfielder does not want to be loaned out to another club, L’Équipe reports. This would have probably been the preferred option for PSG, but the player wants a permanent deal. The report continues that Sevilla are the current favourites for the signature of the youngster. Three other clubs are also interested, but there is no offer yet. The transfer fee is expected to be around €8 million.
The agent of the player also works with Anthony Martial, who is currently on loan at Sevilla from Manchester United. The good relationship between the agent and the club may also facilitate the transfer of Edouard Michut to Spain.
