Real Madrid Sign Aurelien Tchouameni
Top Class Prospect
Despite his young age, Tchouameni has shown his talents repeatedly. He was a driving force behind Monaco’s third-placed Ligue 1 finish last season and in his two seasons with Monaco was twice picked for the Ligue 1 Team of The Year, he even won the Ligue 1 Young Player of The Year award in the 2020/21 season.
Tchouameni’s impressive midfield performances with Monaco have earned him a call-up to the French national team where he has 11 caps to his name so far.
Real Madrid is accruing an incredible crop of young talent right now, Aurelien Tchouameni may be the final piece of the puzzle as they aim to develop a strong core to build their squad around for years to come.
Real Madrid Move Fast
Despite losing out to Paris Saint-Germain for the services of Kylian Mbappe, Madrid didn’t let that setback get to them. Instead, they turned their attention right to their next target Tchouameni and got a deal done. While Madrid are no doubt hurting at not picking up the generational striker they have reinforced their squad by signing one of the most promising midfielders in world football.
It’s been a quick rise through the ranks of world football for Tchouameni. The midfielder came through the youth ranks at Bordeaux, debuting for the senior team in the 2018/19 season. After just one-and-a-half seasons with Bordeaux, he was picked up by Monaco before making this move to Real Madrid just two-and-a-half years later.
