Cheeky Chelsea Bid rejected
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea made a cheeky offer of around €25 million plus add-ons, which is around €30 million lower than what the Citizens want to sell Sterling for.
But this is likely only a low opening offer that Chelsea can build upon in the search for a good deal. Romano said that the club would be “back with [a] new bid soon” since City are happy to let Sterling leave.

Is Raheem Sterling Worth It?
Raheem Sterling is worth his hefty transfer tag. Across 30 league appearances last season he scored 13 goals and notched six assists. In the last four seasons, he has scored over 10 goals per season and been involved in many more.
The England international is still at the peak of his career at 27 years of age and offers so much in attack. His blistering pace and dribbling ability means he can play anywhere across the front line. He is easily capable of adapting to the needs of any game and he has winning experience in finals.
As Romano points out, City are only looking to sell Sterling and Gabriel Jesus at the right price. READ MORE about a potential move for Gabriel Jesus. Chelsea are also interested in Jesus, along with Arsenal and Tottenham. Whether Chelsea will go for Sterling and Jesus is yet unknown. But it would be a surprise to see the Citizens allowing two of their top talents to strengthen a Premier League rival without squeezing them for lots of transfer funds.
This is a really exciting transfer window where fans are potentially seeing a big power shift across the Premier League. Many teams are looking to invest and lots of big names like Sterling and Jesus are on the move.
