Barcelona are now more likely to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich than they were a few weeks ago after discovering their demands to let him go, claims Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
The La Liga giants are eager to sign the Polish striker to lead their line next season.

Barcelona in an ‘Open Poker’ Situation
The Bundesliga side have softened their stance slightly on potentially selling Lewandowski after insisting in recent weeks that they expect him to stay. As per Plettenberg, there’s now an ‘open poker about the price’ for which the 31-year-old forward can be allowed to leave.
However, Bayern would at least want €60 million to let him leave. They could even potentially demand more depending on how desperate Barcelona are to sign him. It’s well known how eager Xavi is to add a prolific striker like Lewandowski to his squad after being left with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as their only natural centre-forward.

Ever since the departure of Lionel Messi last year, the Blaugrana have not been able to find a player who can consistently win them games. They are hoping to get a short-term replacement for Messi in Lewandowski, who is still at the peak of his career after scoring 50 goals last season and he personally wants the move.
Bayern Munich want at least €60m (£52m) if they are to sell Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona. Barcelona made a €40m (£34.4m) offer, but Bayern said he isn’t for sale, though he has only a year left on his contract. Lewandowski’s Cry for Exit
Ever since the end of last season, Lewandowski has been trying his best to push for an exit from Bayern and secure a move to the Camp Nou. He’s publicly spoken multiple times in the last month about wanting a new challenge and simply said that his ‘story at Bayern Munich is over‘.
However, Bayern aren’t so keen on losing their highest goal-scorer because of their inability to replace him. They would still ideally try to convince him to stay for another season and potentially leave as a free agent next year.

But with the pressure mounting, it seems like the Bundesliga club won’t have any choice but to sell Lewandowski for the right price. The ball is now on Barcelona’s court, but they will have to pay a major fee to sign the goal machine, who has scored 344 goals in 375 career appearances for the Bavarians.
