Former Arsenal Midfielder is Being Considered as a Coach by the Club
What Could the Former Arsenal Midfielder Bring to the Table?
Mikel Arteta has created a positive vibe in North London and now another former Arsenal midfielder could return to the club. Jack Wilshere had so many memorable moments in the famous red and white whether it be that performance against Barcelona or rounding off that superb move against Norwich City, for one of the greatest team goals you’ll ever see.
The former Arsenal midfielder was of course plagued with injuries though and he may now turn his hand to coaching. It is being said that a number of internal options are being considered, but Wilshere is in the mix too. This would be a first foray into the off-the-field side of football for the 30-year-old. There was some experience for him to be had under the stewardship of Scott Parker at Bournemouth last year.
“The Gunners lost their U23s boss, Kevin Betsy, and U18s head coach, Dan Micciche, earlier this month after they were appointed by League Two side Crawley Town.” There has been a lot of restructuring for Arsenal recently whether it be the arrival of Arteta or the moving around of the likes of Freddie Ljungberg, Per Mertesacker and Steve Bould away from the first team.
What Has Jack Wilshere Been Up to Recently?
As previously mentioned, the former Arsenal midfielder played for Bournemouth. Since then though, a move which got a lot less press was his one to Denmark where he ran out for top-tier team Aarhus. Former Manchester City and Southampton man Uwe Rosler is their current manager.

Wilshere is no doubt most known for his time at the Emirates where he showed oh so much potential. Even at West Ham United and Bournemouth, injuries were quick to catch up to him. He has no experience to his name in this specific line of work but his exploits on the pitch will be invaluable for the younger players.
There has been a lot of sadness from Arsenal fans following the stuttering career for Wilshere. Injuries won’t be an issue when he makes the move into coaching and it will be fascinating to see if the powers that be at the Gunners opt for him going forward.
