Bali Mumba is the Latest Addition For Plymouth Argyle
His Career so Far
Bali Mumba broke through at Sunderland when he was just 16, making just one appearance in 2017/18. He was a substitute on the final day of the season. As they went down to League One, one game became four but minutes were still hard to come by. As a teenager though, this is still impressive either way.
What a day for 16 year old Bali Mumba yesterday:
– Captains Sunderland on debut
– Beats champions Wolves 3-0
– Has to ring his dad for a lift home😅😅😅 pic.twitter.com/3f3hTbUfp5

Mumba was then snapped up by Norwich City where he picked up some Premier League minutes. They may have been sparse and they may have come in a very below-par team, but he played in the top-flight all the same. These rare outings led to a loan move to Peterborough United in the Championship but he was unable to become a regular under Darren Ferguson.
Schumacher has highlighted one more position of need, a striker. Ryan Hardie and Luke Jephcott have had a strong partnership in recent years. Former Wolves man Niall Ennis has proved a very effective player going forward.

Where Will Bali Mumba Fit in at Argyle?
Bali Mumba has lacked regular football wherever he has been and so maybe Argyle are the team to offer him that. Whilst beginning as a midfielder, the 20-year-old has shifted into more of a fullback/wingback. This is perfect with the back-five system that the Pilgrims operate.
Here is what Schumacher had to say about the new guy on the block. “Bali Mumba will add pace, directness and excitement to our right wing back department this season. The physical demands required in that area of the pitch for us is immense, so having real competition now on both sides will improve our chances.”
Bali Mumba is a very astute signing; he comes with a big reputation but with a lot to prove. The competition in his position is fierce and he is a great addition to the ranks.
