Newcastle United have added Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic to a list of potential loan targets, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
The USA international has not started either of the Blues’ first two Premier League matches, coming on as a substitute in both.
The Magpies are now alert to the situation and could make a move for the player who was once compared to Eden Hazard by his former manager Frank Lampard.

Chelsea Would Be Open to Departure
Thomas Tuchel’s side could be open to the departure of Pulisic, who does not have a guaranteed place in the starting lineup following the arrival of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
Ornstein adds that he is not the only attacking target Newcastle are looking at, though the other three also all come from Chelsea.
Eddie Howe’s side reportedly also have an interest in Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Members of the Newcastle hierarchy, including Amanda Staveley, were present at Chelsea’s draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and NBC Sports say that they were keen to discuss deals surrounding players on the fringes of Chelsea’s team.

Newcastle Searching for Attacking Options
As well as scouring Chelsea’s squad for attacking reinforcements, Newcastle are looking at the Championship as well.
They have seen a bid of around £17.5 million knocked back by Watford for Joao Pedro, though they are expected to go back in with a second offer.
Watford insist that the Brazilian is not for sale, though that does not seem to have deterred Newcastle as they desperately look to bring in another attacker.
