He is now, on deadline day, set to secure that deal with Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.
Before his contract extension, Fish signed professional terms for the first time in March 2020.

Hibs are currently eighth in Scotland’s top flight with just one win to their name – something they’ll definitely be looking to improve on.
This won’t be the first time United have sent players to Scotland with names like Demetri Mitchell, Matty Willock and Reece Devine – who have all since left the club – among those to spend time in the country.
The Red Devils clearly believe the league is a useful place to send players to further their development.

This will be Fish’s second loan away following a spell with Stockport County last season which didn’t really work out. He was recalled in January with concerns over his playing time.
He has featured in pre-season for Manchester United under new manager Erik ten Hag and will be keen to thrive at Hibernian should the loan go through.
Depending on other outgoings, Fish will become United’s eighth loan departure of the transfer window following Dean Henderson, Alvaro Fernandez, Alex Telles, Ethan Laird, Eric Bailly, Hannibal Mejbri and Amad Diallo.

This will be an important one for him given how unfavourably the Stockport loan turned out, with him not featuring all that much. United have shown they believe in him by extending his contract at Old Trafford.
Fish made his United debut in a 2-1 away win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in May 2021.
