Leeds United have become embroiled in a mystery, with a nameless signing potentially in the process of being announced throughout a mystery boardroom meeting. On his Twitch stream, Fabrizio Romano stated that there was: “Something coming for Leeds fans”. He also said “Leeds are doing something, it’s just understanding which player”.
This comes alongside Whites fans waiting outside the stadium noticing a lot of activity taking place in the club’s boardroom – where they sign new players.

What Does The Boardroom Meeting Mean?
This mystery boardroom meeting at Leeds United could be telling of a transfer taking place between the club and a mystery side. The club takes all of its signing photos in front of a wall stating the club’s historical achievements, from the FA Cup victory to league titles. With offices throughout the East Stand (visible to fans through the “Take Us Home” documentary on Amazon), any non-transfer business would take place in the bowels of the ground.
What Has Deadline Day Been Like So Far?
Thus far, Victor Orta’s transfer business on deadline day has been incredibly difficult. The day started with failing to sign Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven after securing an agreement with the player. Following this, the club chased Bamba Dieng. The Whites did everything they could, securing an agreement with both the player and Marseille. However, Dieng proceeded to turn the move down, choosing OGC Nice instead. The saga ended with Dieng failing his medical at Nice.

What Do Leeds United Need?
Completing an attacking signing is the last piece of business the club needs to do in the business, adding some depth to the front line at Elland Road. The Peacocks could also benefit from signing a new left-back, as the club has played centre-back Pascal Struijk in the position since the start of the 2022/23 season.
