In an exclusive interview with Manchester United fan channel The United Stand, Fabrizio Romano has dropped a significant update on the Red Devils’ pursuit of the England wonderkid already being described by fans as “world-class”: Jude Bellingham. He has revealed that Erik ten Hag and the men in red are “for sure” going to try and sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
“IT’S A REALLY DIFFICULT ONE…” @FabrizioRomano says that #mufc will try their best to persuade Bellingham to join the club in the summer, but it may be hard to sign a player of this calibre.

The Italian journalist stated that Manchester United still have the pedigree of their infamous ‘pull’ for players they target but has admitted it may be difficult to sign someone of Bellingham’s calibre due to the ever-growing interest from some of Europe’s other elite clubs.
Manchester United Definitely Looking to Bring Jude Bellingham Into Their Ranks Next Summer
The English Wonderkid That Is Jude Bellingham
After impressing for German club Borussia Dortmund, Bellingham has become a mainstay in Gareth Southgate’s midfield, often pairing up with Declan Rice.
With his acute passing, catalytic style, and superb mentality, it is far from surprising that he is at the top of everyone’s wish list. He has four goal contributions in 11 appearances this season for the Black and Yellows, impressive considering that he lines up in the middle of the midfield and that his role is about so much more than simply goals and assists, not to mention that he is still a teenager.
The Manchester side have reinforced their midfield in the most recent window by bringing in 5-time Champions League winner Casemiro alongside Christian Eriksen on a free transfer. It, therefore, begs the question of whether Bellingham can see himself fitting into Erik ten Hag’s system with a wealth of experience and talent already in Manchester United’s midfield.
Many Clubs Are Interested in His Signature
Jude Bellingham is the subject of plentiful interest from big European clubs, as expected, but Manchester United are hoping that the second time’s a charm.
Fellow Premier League giants Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested, as Romano confirmed in this recent interview. All of these sides will provide stiff competition for the Red Devils in this race: City offer the prospect of reuniting Bellingham with new recruit Erling Haaland, Chelsea recently showed a willingness to break the bank, and Liverpool’s midfield is ageing and could do with rejuvination.
The race to sign Jude Bellingham will include many top clubs and nothing will be decided now. Price tag to be clarified by BVB after WC, not before 2023. ⭐️🏴 #Bellingham
Liverpool, Man City, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd — gonna be a long race.

The race for the sought-after central midfielder will have to wait until next summer’s transfer window. His focus is solely on the remainder of the Bundesliga season and England’s upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
Bellingham’s current club have previously completed business with Manchester United over the signing of Jadon Sancho so there is a middle ground there for talks to go ahead.
United Will Be Hoping to Sign Bellingham on the Second Time of Asking
The Salford club have been keen admirers of Bellingham for a while now and will be hoping that next summer will be when we see him switch from Germany to England but in the colours of Manchester United.
Sky Sports reported that Manchester United were leading the line to lure Bellingham to the Theatre of Dreams back in 2020 but failed in this attempt.
In 2020, the Red Devils invited Bellingham and his family to Carrington to familiarise the teenager with their proceedings – they will now be hoping that Bellingham will soon call those facilities home.
