Chelsea Close to Completing Santos Deal
The Blues are quite intent on building a bright future project, with Todd Boehly signing a lot of promising young talents since he became a co-owner of the club. Chelsea have now dipped into the Brazilian market to sign the 18-year-old, who is highly rated in his country.
Romano confirms that Chelsea will be paying a fee of around £17.6 million for the midfielder and have had that fully agreed with his side. They have also agreed all personal terms with Santos and now the only thing that needs to be done to move this deal forward is for the two involved clubs to prepare all the paperwork needed to make this signing official.

However, that is only a formality at this point and this signing is as good as done. The 18-year-old will be a part of their future talents project and is being eyed for long-term success rather than making any immediate impact for the first team.
Chelsea Continue Transfer Splurge Before January Window
The January transfer window has not even started yet, but the Premier League heavyweights are not waiting around to agree on all the details. They’ve also fully finalized the blockbuster signing of RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku, who will be joining the club next season.
The Blues have, on top of that, agreed to sign Molde forward David Fofana, who will arrive next month and could be a replacement for the injured Armando Broja – who is ruled out for the rest of the season. Santos is unlikely to be used that early, but he’s a player who should be a hit among the fans.

The 18-year-old midfielder made 33 appearances for Vasco last season in the Brazilian Serie B (second division) and scored eight goals. He can play anywhere in midfield, be it as a defensive midfielder or even a no.10. Santos will first need to adapt to his new surroundings at Stamford Bridge, but can be an impactful player for Chelsea in years to come.
