United Looking at Alternatives as They Lose Out to Rivals in Battle for Forward
Who Could United Turn Their Attentions to Now?
Gonçalo Ramos
Two forwards have been discussed so far between Erik ten Hag and the United hierarchy. The first is Portugal striker Gonçalo Ramos. The United boss is believed to be a big fan of the player according to centerdevils. The Benfica striker has scored 15 goals in 22 games so far this season and scored a hat-trick in the World Cup last-16 game against Switzerland. At just 21 years old, Ramos has the potential to improve further and become a future star.
João Félix
Another name to be linked via centredevils is João Félix. The Atlético Madrid forward appears to have fallen out of favour just a few short years since he signed from Benfica for £130 million. Atleti look to be willing to allow Felix to leave on an initial loan deal in January; however, according to Spanish outlet Relevo, United will face competition for the former wonderkid’s signature.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be keen on Felix with his agent Jorge Mendes believed to have been in talks with clubs who are interested. United could be in for another tough battle should they decide to pursue the gifted Portugal international.
Enzo Fernández Also Linked
Argentina central midfielder Enzo Fernández has also been linked to a move to the Theater of Dreams. According to Gastón Edul via centerdevils, United are leading the race to sign the 21-year-old Benfica star.

Should United or any other club wish to sign Fernández they would need pay his release clause which stands and £106 million. The player has made just 24 appearances for Benfica so far, signing for the Portugese giants just last summer for a initial fee of £10 million. Again, should Erik ten Hag wish to pursue the transfer, he is likley to face competiton from a host of teams from the Premier Leauge and across Europe.
