Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is wanted on loan by Wolverhampton Wanderers, as per Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna. The Englishman was not used at all by Erik ten Hag before the World Cup break but has produced some impressive performances in recent weeks for his side.

Wan-Bissaka Inclined to Accept Wolves Move After Dropping Out of Favour at United
While he has started in the Manchester side’s last three Premier League games, it doesn’t appear that Wan-Bissaka has been able to gain an important place in the squad. Aouna adds that Wolves have been interested in the 25-year-old for quite some time and are even ready to make a move for him now.
It’s also stated that United and Wan-Bissaka himself are inclined to accept any lucrative short-term offers that come their way. The Red Devils would, in such a case, get to see their man play regular minutes at the Molineux Stadium until the end of the season.

Amid their interest in the Englishman, Aouna also claims that Wolves are looking to make multiple acquisitions in January. They also want to sign a new centre-back, a defensive midfielder as well as a striker to help them get out of the relegation zone in the second half of the campaign.

Wan-Bissaka Faces Uncertain Future at United
After only making four appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions this season, there is a lot of uncertainty around the long-term future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Old Trafford. He has a contract that expires in June 2024 and United have not shown any eagerness to extend that deal either.
Ten Hag appears to have found a liking for Diogo Dalot, who has featured heavily under him and restricted playing time for his fellow right-back at United. If United sign a new right-back in the summer transfer window, then that could signal further trouble for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and urge him to leave.

The 25-year-old was called a ‘massively important player’ by Marcus Rashford last month, but that doesn’t seem the case with him only getting a handful of appearances this season. If he does want to get back to regular playing time, then perhaps a move away from the Manchester side is ideal for Wan-Bissaka.
