How Liverpool Have Lined-Up Recently
Jurgen Klopp’s side have seriously picked up on their form towards the end of the Premier League season. That has been helped by the manager getting the majority of his players available again. For example, their backline seems set in stone for all games right now – with Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson all being key members.
In the attack, Mo Salah is undroppable. Luis Diaz – who was once praised as a ‘top world level player’ by Klopp – has made a positive return from an awful injury spell and is ready to help his side finish the season strongly. Fabinho should retain his role in defensive midfield, but there could be changes to those around him from the previous outing against Brentford.
Liverpool Recent Form and Tactics
The Reds have won their last six consecutive Premier League games, which included two away from home. Even though a top-4 finish remains tough for Klopp’s side, they’ll want to maintain their winning run to keep pressure on Manchester United.

For Liverpool, their go-to formation has remained the 4-3-3 system which has won them a lot of trophies under Klopp. The German manager has reinvigorated the sense of a high press, ‘heavy metal’ style of football and he’ll definitely ask his players to hound out the Leicester players with their rapid presses and win back the ball in key areas before going through on goal in their rapid counter-attacks.
They love using width to their advantage whenever attacking, with the wing-backs encouraged to go forward as much as possible and allow the forwards to take up more central areas. Liverpool’s set-piece prowess and threat of free-kicks have kept them as an unpredictable threat in the last few weeks.
Liverpool Key Players
Salah is the go-to man for the club whenever they’re desperate for goals or any sense of inspiration in the final third. His impressive finishing skills, ability to dribble past bodies and slick movement should help him cause chaos in the Leicester backline and his team can run riot if the winger is in form.

Diaz can be a menacing player with his unpredictable movement too, while he’s also a ruthless finisher in the final third if given too much space. The in-form Alexander-Arnold is relied upon to produce the goods for the Reds with his brilliant delivery and he’ll aim to destabilize the Foxes with his crosses – while his fellow full-back Andy Robertson tries to do the same on the other side of the pitch.
Liverpool Injuries to Consider
Thiago Alcantara is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a hip issue, while Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita remain out. Breakout star, Stefan Bajcetic, is also out for the remainder of this campaign.
