Sky Sports Man Makes Huge Tottenham Manager Claim as Spurs Close In on ‘Serial Winner’

Ange Postecoglou after winning the domestic treble with Celtic

The manager appears to be top of Spurs’ wishlist to fill their vacant hotseat, and it now appears that they are close to securing their man.

Tottenham Looking for Stability After a Poor Season

Spurs are in desperate need of stability after a season that could be defined as anything but.

Following Antonio Conte’s dramatic departure which featured public comments heavily criticising the mentality of his players, Spurs were in a difficult situation. They hired Ryan Mason – the same man who had filled in after Jose Mourinho’s departure in 2021 – as caretaker manager until the end of the season when they would have more time to concentrate on making the right appointment.

In that time, their results were nothing if not inconsistent, featuring a 4-1 victory over Leeds United, a narrow 4-3 defeat to Liverpool, and a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Newcastle United.

Now, though, the North London side need to find a manager to lead them on a clear path towards success, something that has been so sorely missed since new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino was sacked in 2019. Fans will be desperate for that man to be Postecoglou, provided he secures the job.

The “serial winner” Greek-born boss had a particularly successful spell in Scotland, capped off by winning the domestic treble in what looks increasingly likely to be his last game as Celtic manager, and he will be hoping to bring that trophy-winning mentality to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
