The Frenchman would appear to be a great fit for the club, as Guardiola prefers a lineup of defenders that are comfortable in central defence but are able to play in the wide areas. Manchester City Faces A Mass Exit of Players

Despite coming off the back of a treble-winning season, the club has already confirmed deals for a number of players, as they look to refresh their squad. With Ilkay Gundagon off to Barcelona, and Riyadh Mahrez reportedly joining Saudi club Al Ahli, Walker joins a number of players expected to leave this summer. Fellow defender Aymeric Laporte could also be sold this summer, with his former club Athletic Bilbao apparently interested in a reunion with the centre-back.

The England international will join former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel’s side, as they look to improve on last year’s quarter-final exit in the Champions League. Walker did not feature in Pep Guardiola’s lineup for the Citizens’ 3-0 win over the Bavarians at the Etihad and came off the bench in the 88th minute of their 1-1 draw at the Allianz.
