Everton Reach Agreement to Sign Youssef Chermiti

Chermiti to fix Everton’s striker problems?

Chermiti made his debut against Sporting’s bitter rivals Benfica just 7 months ago and has since impressed many across Europe.

There has been a twist in the tale as it seemed like one of Bournemouth or Wolves would sign Chermiti. However, as reported by Romano, a deal has been reached with terms agreed between both clubs. For once the Toffees find themselves on the right side of a transfer swoop something that has shocked fans.

Sean Dyche has made it clear he wants a striker before the start of the new season but has already missed out on the likes of El Bilal Toure and Boulaye Dia

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin not featuring yet in pre-season due to injuries, Everton have been crying out for a new number nine, and with one game left to play, Chermiti still has time to get used to Dyche’s style before their opening premier league fixture against Fulham. He could be the goalscoring presence the Merseyside club have so desperately needed since Calvert-Lewin’s inconsistent availability became a real issue.

A new look front line

The only thing left to discuss with the 19-year-old himself is the personal terms. Should that go smoothly, a medical would be the last thing standing between The Toffees and announcing their new man, bolstering their attack alongside Arnaut Danjuma.
