Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has posted that West Ham United’s next player they hope to sign is Belgian attacking midfielder Mike Tresor. The 24-year-old plays for Pro League outfit KRC Genk.

According to Tavolieri, West Ham have already contacted Tresor’s camp. The London club have decided to express their interest in signing the player, who was named “best player of the 2022/2023 season” in the Belgian top flight.

Before an official bid is made by the Hammers – they first need to work out the Lucas Paqueta situation. Manchester City have been eyeing the midfielder, but a potential betting scandal has delayed that move. David Moyes’ side will look to make progress over the coming week and eventually contact Genk regarding a deal for Tresor.

Interest from Several European Clubs
West Ham are not the only team in the mix for the play-maker. Roma, and their coach Jose Mourinho, are also interested in the player. Having made fruitful runs in European competitions during the past two campaigns, I Giallorossi could benefit from a high-calibre asset like the Belgian international.
Recently The Daily Mail reported that domestic rivals Brentford had discussed details on potentially signing the Belgian player.
Another Premier League team that have had recent links to Tresor is Wolverhampton. The Molineux club could look to steal the Belgian if no one else makes a suitable offer.
