According to Fabrizio Romano, there could be movement in the situation surrounding Barcelona’s Ansu Fati in the last few days of the transfer window. The journalist reported that London clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are in contact with the Catalans over the forward.

Romano reported through his social media that Barcelona could now potentially sell their young attacker before the transfer window shuts. London clubs Tottenham and Chelsea are in pole position to land the player and could end up in a bidding war during the last days of the transfer window for the “generational talent“.

Both teams want to bolster their attack and are looking for a versatile attacker to do so; Fati fits the bill perfectly.

Spurs have reportedly already made contacts with the Spanish giants to inquire about the player as they are evaluating their options. The Italian journalist also reported that the Lilywhites are still in talks with Nottingham Forest for their prized asset, Brennan Johnson.

The transfer market expert wrote on his social media: “Ansu Fati situation, one to watch until the end of the window as mentioned multiple times. Understand Tottenham made contact to be informed on Ansu Fati’s situation while talks for Brennan Johnson continue. Chelsea have also been presented Ansu opportunity earlier this week”

Barcelona and Ansu Fati Situation

Matteo Morretto also gave an update on the situation of the 20-year-old and reported that the player is now closer than ever to the Camp Nou exit door and has two options on the table, Chelsea and Spurs.

The La Liga champions have been in a financially tight situation for a while and, according to Moretto, the sale of their youth academy product could help ease the financial burden by giving them a comfortable margin on the wage bill.
